Subnautica Review

Subnautica is a gripping open-world survival game that immerses players in an awe-inspiring aquatic world. Developed by Unknown Worlds, it stands as a template for what survival games should strive to be. From the very first moments, you’re ejected from a disintegrating starship onto a watery alien world.

The diverse range of aquatic biomes, from murky kelp forests to surreal, alien shark-infested expanses, keeps exploration exciting.

But what sets Subnautica apart is its genuine terror. Drifting in the open water, knowing safety is nowhere in sight while massive, predatory leviathans echo their wails from the depths, creates an intense fear akin to horror classics like Amnesia or Outlast.

The crafting system is robust, and the progression system keeps you engaged as you unlock new tools and abilities.

Overall, Subnautica is a survival game with focus, an excellent sci-fi story, and underwater horror that will keep you on the edge of your seat
